URC2017 Schedule

*Note: Teams must check in either Wednesday or Thursday.  Teams are also required to have at least one driver participate in a driving tour of the route to MDRS.  This will be a guided caravan for teams to learn the route, which can be challenging.

Thursday, June 1
6:30am Final Check-in, Hanksville Town Building (NOT for teams with early start times on Thursday)
7:00am - 5:00pm URC Competition Events
10:00am Check-In for Non-Competing Teams, Hanksville Town Building
6:00pm - 8:00pm Meet & Greet and Rover Showcase Hosted by Protocase, NEW LOCATION: Hanksville Emergency Services Building

Please note the following points regarding the competition schedule:
  • Pay careful attention to the 900 MHz and 2.4 GHz sub-bands allocated to your stations throughout the event (if your team is operating in those frequency bands).
  • The time range listed for the Autonomous Traversal Task is approximate, and will vary depending upon the number of stages teams reach.  There are 3 stages total for this task.
  • Please note that for the Sample Cache Task, your team has two time slots.  The first is for your rover's on-course time.  The second is for your team's laboratory analysis and field briefing to the judges.
  • There are 4 sites where your team will compete:
    • Hab Site - Located at MDRS
    • South Site - Located approximately 1 km south of MDRS
    • North Site - Located approximately 1 km north of MDRS
    • Hanksville Town Building - Located in Hanksville
